INDEC to Publish GDP and Inflation, Government Focus on Economic Growth

The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC) will release this week key economic indicators for the third quarter of the year (July-September), which the government is focusing on to agree on economic growth. According to Noticias Argentinas agency, the organization headed by Marco Lavagna will begin publishing indicators in the last week of December. The indicators include the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and wholesale inflation for November. The Executive will be closely watching the evolution of the GDP. At the same time, tax revenue fell for the fourth consecutive month in November due to the elimination of withholdings for the agricultural sector. This led to a real year-on-year decrease of 8.7%, marking the fourth consecutive drop compared to the same month in 2024. The total amount reached 15,598 billion pesos. INDEC will also publish data on the consumer basket, construction costs, wholesale inflation, and foreign trade.
